We can’t wait to welcome you on campus for our autumn Open Days.
The Open Days are a great way for you to get to know Bangor University and find out what we have to offer.
We may have to adapt the programme slightly to do some things differently, but you will still be able to find out more about your chosen course by attending subject presentations, as well as view the campus and accommodation.
There will also be plenty of opportunities throughout the day for you to meet staff and current students to get a feel for the extraordinary experience that awaits if you choose Bangor University.

Clubs and Societies
Our Students' Union clubs and societies were named 2nd in the UK at the WhatUni Student Choice Awards 2020!
What’s on offer?
The Students’ Union offers a wide range of student-run clubs and societies – there are around 200 to choose from!
Sport Clubs
The various sport clubs give you an opportunity to train, compete and socialise with fellow club members. You can get involved with traditional sports such as football, rugby, netball and hockey or try something new like quidditch, canoe-polo or sub-aqua!
Societies
The are societies that will compliment your academic studies, such as the Law Society, the Geographical Society; religious societies such as the Christian Union and the Islamic Society and societies to compliment your hobbies and interests like comedy, cooking, photography and drama.
Student membership is free of charge!
Accommodation
We have two accommodation villages in Bangor and both within walking distance of the city centre and main university departments. St Mary's Village and Ffriddoedd Village offer a range of room types including standard rooms, en-suite, studio, townhouses, postgraduate, and rooms for students with additional needs.
Features include:
- Individual single study bedrooms.
- Female only, alcohol-free and quiet accommodation available.
- Choice of en-suite private bathroom or shared bathrooms.
- Fully equipped self-catered facilities, allowing you to prepare your own meals.
- Option to purchase meals on-campus at a variety of cafes/restaurants.
- Senior Wardens on duty, plus, a team of friendly student 'Mentors' and 24/7 Security Staff (24 hours a day, 7 days a week).
- All-inclusive rent includes internet, heating, electricity, water bills, all maintenance and contents insurance.
- Rent also includes gym membership and Campus Life events programme. Campus Life events include sports events, movie nights, BBQ's, cooking classes, quiz nights, exciting trips etc to help students get the most from their time in Halls.
