MSC in Mechanical Engineering

Students have the opportunity to apply practical and theoretical issues with the capability of interdisciplinary collaboration. 

Some of the very interesting concepts explored in this programme are:

  • How to calculate the lifetime of a fuel cell or a computer chip.
  • How to analyse the dynamics of a racing car.
  • How to design the blades of a wind turbine.

MSc in Mechanical Engineering provides students with a comprehensive understanding of advanced calculation methodologies such as finite element method (FEM) and multidisciplinary simulation tools. Topics covered include structural dynamics and model analysis, computational fluid dynamics (CFD), and fracture mechanics and techniques.

The course is comprised of compulsory courses and elective course packages within the specialisations of thermo/fluid engineering, applied mechanics, material engineering and robot systems.
