Master's Program in Marketing
The aim of the Master’s Degree in Marketing at Aalto University in Finland is to provide an understanding of marketing as a comprehensive way of thinking and offer an in-depth knowledge of the central role of marketing and its practices in business.
The core topics of the Master’s Degree in Marketing are Strategic Marketing, Business Marketing, Retail, and Consumer Culture. Students also learn about Sustainable Marketing, Brands in Strategic Marketing, Managing Innovative Selling, Sales Competition, Digital Marketing, Consumer Behavior in Design and Fashion, Fashion Marketing, and Consumer Psychology.
The Strategic Marketing course takes the student to the core of the business through a wide range of issues regarding the role of marketing in corporate strategies, management practices, competitive advantage, and business performance, while also familiarizing the students with the role of marketing in sustainable leadership and societally responsible decision-making.
The Business Marketing course provides students with knowledge on how companies create value for and with their business customers, and covers complex organizational buying behavior, design of product and services offerings, creation and management of customer-supplier relationships, and utilization of strategic business and innovation networks in the global context.
The Retail course provides students with knowledge and know-how for customer/ market-orientated creation of value in retail business with a particular focus on retail and channel management, retail concepts and business models, retail marketing, and consumer driven value chain management in retailing.
The Consumer Culture course offers the student knowledge and skills in cultural consumer research, exploring individual, social and cultural aspects of consumer behavior and how these understandings can be harnessed to create value for customers and companies..
Upon completion of the Master’s Degree in Marketing, graduates are well-prepared to launch successful careers in the field of marketing, working in marketing management and planning jobs, whether for education, consultancy, or marketing service companies.
Admission requirements
