The Honors Degree consists of a data analysis project (compulsory) and eight-semester modules chosen in consultation with the Head of the Department.

Exposes students to the fundamentals of probability, decision analysis, and statistics, and their application to business. Topics include probability, decision analysis, distributions, sampling, estimation, hypothesis testing, and chi-square. Effective Fall 2018, this course fulfills a single unit in the following BU Hub area: Quantitative Reasoning I.

The Master in Statistical Techniques (MTE) proposes a broad program, but at the same time compact, which allows to achieve a rigorous training in Statistics and Operations Research, training its graduates to face the needs of today's society, either with a mainly orientation applied and professionalizing, either with a more theoretical and academic orientation.

An ideal program for someone who wants to 'get under the hood' and really understand the tools they have used previously, and how this extends to more complex methods and models.

The Bachelor of Science (BSc) is a three-year undergraduate degree which enables each student to develop his or her own interests in a science subject (science major) and related subjects. Students have the flexibility to combine their major subject with other science subjects, as well as subjects from other disciplines across the University.

The goal of the UCD MSc Statistical Data Science is to train the new generation of data scientists, by empowering them with a broad range of foundational and applied skills in statistics and machine learning. On completion of the MSc Statistical Data Science, you will be able to demonstrate an in-depth understanding of statistical concepts, apply advanced statistical reasoning, techniques, and models in the analysis of real data, and employ technical computing skills.

The programme is intended for those interested in data, statistics, and life sciences. We provide you with the proficiency needed to work with biostatistics both nationally and internationally. You will learn about statistical methods, models, and underlying theories, how to design studies, analyze and interpret data, and program in R. After receiving your degree, you will have practical experience, and good opportunities for employment or further studies at the third-cycle level.

The Master of Arts and Master of Science degrees in Applied Statistics provide students with the necessary background to seek employment in statistics, data sciences or a related field. The degree programs provide training in applied statistics and consulting, as well as in the theory of statistics pertinent to applications. In addition, students are required to study an approved area outside of statistics at the graduate level. Possible areas include numerical analysis, biostatistics, education, economics, sociology, psychology, biology, business, bioinformatics, computer science, mathematical finance, and many others.
