The postgraduate program in "Music and Acoustic Engineering" forms experts and designers who are able to face consolidated as well as emerging technological challenges in the audio, music and acoustics areas.

The BFA in Sound Design provides a more in-depth study of principles introduced in the AA program. Students will gain a complete overview of the soundtrack creation process, learning the latest in digital audio workstation workflows, as well as recording, editing, and mixing. The goal of the Bachelor's Degree in Sound and Image Engineering is to train professionals in the development of multimedia services in communication networks for the processing, recording, reproduction, and conditioning of audio and video signals, as well as the acoustic design for venues.

Develop your own sound through practical audio production and critical listening, and learn how to put your own creative fingerprint on a range of music and sound. The MFA in Sound Design is designed to provide the highest level of training in sound design for film, television, games, and other visual media. Students will gain a complete overview of the audio post-production process, recording and editing dialog, sound effects, and ambiance to create a sonic landscape that supports and informs the narrative, from initial recording to final mix. MFA students will complete a thesis project and portfolio in their final year and graduate with a working knowledge of professional workflows to prepare them for success in the soundtrack industry.

This MSc programme caters for students who want to concentrate on technical aspects of the music and creative industries. It covers the areas of music application development, audio signal processing, sound synthesis, acoustics, and computer programming. It is taught in the state-of-the-art facilities of the Music Technology Laboratory of the Music Department.
