The Degree in Social Work will train the student body for professional practice as a social worker. They will intervene in conflict situations in the different social spheres of individuals, they will participate in the approach and planning of policies, services and social initiatives and in the prevention of problems and conflicts between people and/or groups.

The Official Master's Degree in Social Work in the Health Sector from the Universidad Pontificia Comillas aims to train social workers with specialized training that enhances the biopsychosocial perspective of health. Currently, the profound changes and specialization of social work services in the health sector require specific knowledge to advance in the excellence of professional practice, integrating health and social aspects from a logic of direct intervention with citizens.

Social Health Work evaluates the biopsychosocial factors that affect the health-disease process, as well as the treatment of socio-sanitary problems from an interdisciplinary perspective. This Master responds to the current need to provide specialization to Social Workers in the health field, offering you, for this purpose, training focused on the areas and fields of social intervention and delving into both intervention methods and techniques as well as the skills and competencies of evaluation, diagnosis and socio-sanitary management.

The University Master's Degree in Socio-Community Training and Intervention (MOFIS) arises as an initiative to incorporate these studies at the University of Valladolid, and a substitute for a degree with some similar characteristics that existed in a previous period. This new master comes to cover a series of national and international demands and needs. The master deals with social and community intervention through specific and multidisciplinary training, aims to train professionals and researchers in the field of Social Sciences, in order to investigate and / or intervene on those different social processes and contexts, addressing multiple social needs, especially those where greater attention is required in specific contexts, as well as new emerging realities.

The aim of the master's degree in Social and Educational Action, which is one of the university master's degrees offered by the Faculty of Education, is to learn the methods and develop the knowledge required to: analyse and compare the logic and dynamics of social policies in different contexts; identify the characteristics of social action, and tackle new and emerging problems and situations affecting at-risk populations.

The aim of this master's degree is to provide advanced interdisciplinary training in diabetes that will allow graduates to take up leading professional roles in addressing this chronic disease, which affects people of all ages and requires highly complex treatment and monitoring at all levels of care.
