The program focuses on modern history, politics, and diplomacy, as well as social, cultural and economic problems of Central Europe, the Balkan Peninsula, and the post-Soviet area, including the Caucasus and Central Asia. It has two specializations: Balkan and Central European Studies or Russian and Eurasian Studies. You can study Greek, Russian, Polish, Czech, and other languages. You can become a regional expert on a specific territory and join international organizations and NGOs, diplomacy and state administration, media, the business sector, or pursue a career in academia.

The bachelor’s degree in International and Diplomatic Studies is a Czech national degree awarded by the Prague University of Economics and Business. Graduates are entitled to use the title Bc. according to Czech legislation.

This program will provide you with knowledge of the policy-making process and cultivate your analytical skills. The program offers expertise in social policy, health policy, educational policy, employment policy and others. We pay special attention to qualitative and quantitative policy research methodology. You will be able to perform analytical, conceptual, organisational, interactive and managing tasks in creating and implementing public and social policies within the international context.

Graduates are highly qualified specialists in literary and cultural studies focused on English-speaking countries, especially the literature and cultures on the British Isles and in North America. They have a good command of theoretical and methodological approaches, are able to conduct independent research and to teach literary and cultural histories of the United Kingdom, USA, Ireland and other English-speaking countries, and related literary and cultural courses, at tertiary level. They can participate in team research projects and work in international research teams. Czech graduates have a good command of the terminology and style of the discipline in their mother tongue and possess basic knowledge of the reception of Anglophone literature in Czech culture.

The Public and Social Policy (PSP) doctoral study program prepares students for basic and applied research and teaching in academia as well as other types of activities requiring a high level of theoretical and methodological education in PSP. This program is open to all master's degree graduates or equivalent.

The doctoral study program Area Studies focuses on various aspects of the contemporary (since 1990) development of Europe and North America, as well as on theoretical and methodological issues in the field of Area Studies.

The Bachelor's degree program in Liberal Arts and Humanities offers studies of the humanities and focuses on philosophy, history, and cultural and social anthropology. The program's significant feature is a widely open study schedule that allows students to pursue their individual abilities and develop their interests. The student takes mandatory courses in humanities and social sciences and passes comprehensive exams relevant to each field. By choosing other elective courses during the studies, the student can gradually specialize and focus either on further (Master's) study in any of the relative theoretical fields or on the practical use of acquired skills. The study program is realized without specialization.
