The master’s degree in International Relations and Diplomacy is focused on negotiation and management skills in international organisations, the history of diplomacy, migration, regional integration, ethical issues in international relations, and the methodology of the social sciences as applied to international relations. Students explore relationships between countries in great detail, the evolving roles of states, governmental and non-governmental organisations, academic and public policy, economics, international law and cultural studies.

With an academically friendly approach towards political science (and its integral sub-field of international relations), this post-graduate programme acknowledges that the fact that the processes of studying both Europe and/or Asia-Pacific and Africa are, traditionally, featured by plenty of perceptions, misinterpretations, general methodological hurdles, and simply fakes. In our class, we will effectively tackle all of those and many other challenges, bringing the latest academic insights into Area Studies.

When you study towards your Bachelor of Arts Degree in International Relations, you will be discovering plenty on international politics, international security, and emerging security challenges. On offer, we have a range of academic modules that will allow you to be well equipped in effectively tackling any issue in the field from theoretical and practical perspectives. War and peace, trade and development, east and west, north and south, foreign policymaking, conventional and public diplomacies, and many different conceptual understandings of the matter in focus – these are what we are going to be studying in our class.

The Ph.D. programme in International Relations provides a high-level of knowledge leading to proficiency in international relations. Doctoral candidates admitted to this programme must have a master’s degree in International Relations.

The specialty of Law was established in 1996 at NSU. 50 students were accepted to full-time and part-time departments of Law specialty in the same year.

The Bachelor’s Degree in International Relations is a full-time multidisciplinary program that introduces students to the study of relationships between state actors in the international system and their interactions with inter-governmental organizations and corporations.

Training of personnel is conducted in accordance with the requirements in bachelor degree for International Relations specialization in Baku Eurasian University.
