Experience Vienna

Vienna, the capital city of Austria, is home to nearly two million people. The city also draws in millions of additional visitors a year who come to enjoy the city’s rich historic and intellectual legacy. Locals and tourists alike enjoy the decadent architecture, modern city-vibe, and thriving night life.  Home to plenty of palaces, old cathedrals, and other historic buildings, Vienna is a great place for students to take a stroll after class.

Invite your new, international friends along for a tour of the Schoenbrunn Palace to learn more about the royal Habsburg family. Or, take a stroll down the Ringstrasse to catch a glimpse of the Vienna State Opera or the Museum of Fine Arts. No matter what your interests are, there is something for everyone in Austria’s capital.

It's no surprise that Vienna has drawn in some of the world’s most creative geniuses. From musicians such as Mozart and Beethoven to artists such as Schiele and Klimt, Vienna has been home to great thinkers who draw upon the city’s unique vibe. It’s easy to hear one of Mozart’s symphonies or see one of Klimt’s masterpieces in the concert halls and art galleries around the city. Entrance is usually discounted for students as well!

There are several prestigious universities and institutions of higher education in Vienna, making it a very student-friendly city. Students will enjoy discounts on main attractions and even in some restaurants and cafes. It also means you will have no time making new friends to spend time with in between classes and on the weekend.

Furthermore, as a large, international city, Vienna is also well connected to the rest of Europe and the world. Once you have seen a fair share of the city, it’s easy to catch a plane or a train to one of the many countries that border Austria, including Hungry, the Czech Republic, Germany, and Italy. So, what are you waiting for? Check out a program in Vienna today!
