Mente recognizes that for many students, scholarships are a necessity in order to study abroad. Keeping this in mind, each year Mente Argentina offers various scholarships for their programs in Buenos Aires. These scholarships are designed for motivated students that need assistance to cover the costs of travel and program fees.

Fulbright Scholarships- Argentina

The Fulbright U.S. Student Program provides grants for individually designed study/research projects or for English teaching assistant programs. During their grants, Fulbrighters will meet, work, live with and learn from the people of the host country, in order to promote mutual understanding through direct engagement in the community.

ELIGIBILITY: These scholarships are open to passionate and accomplished graduating college seniors, graduate students and young professionals who hold an excellent academic record, possess strong leadership skills, and have a high sense of social commitment. Further eligibility varies depending on the scholarship.

Universidad de Buenos Aires Scholarships

Universidad de Buenos Aires has partnered with the governments of Italy, Mexico, and China in order to provide scholarships to citizens of these countries who are enrolled in postgraduate programs at UBA.

Spanish Studies Abroad is dedicated to helping students from around the world to study Spanish in a native speaking environment. These scholarships are available to students attending academic programs in Spain, Puerto Rico, Cuba and Argentina.

The Roberto Rocca Education Program

Universidad de Belgrano proudly grants millions each year in economic support to undergraduate students in order to help them fulfill their academic objectives. These scholarships are open to all students enrolled at UBS.

UBACYT Scholarships

The Secretariat of Science and Technology at Universidad de Buenos Aires offers UBACYT scholarships to students in order to promote the development of scientific activity and research in areas related to technological innovation and social development. 

ELIGIBILITY: These scholarships are open to undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral students that are either currently studying at UBA or have previously graduated from a nationally recognized university in Argentina.

Boren Scholarships

The Boren Awards fund the intensive study of language and culture abroad by U.S. undergraduate or graduate students. All eligible applicants have the option to either apply for a Regional Flagship Language Initiative or select/design their own study program.

ELIGIBILITY: These scholarships are open to U.S. citizens planning an overseas program in selected countries. Further eligibility varies depending on undergraduate Boren Scholars and graduate Boren Fellows.

AWARD: Recipient awards range from $8,000 to $25,000 USD depending on the program.

Scholarships to Study Abroad in Brazil

The OAS Master's and Doctorate Scholarships in Brazil

The OAS provides scholarships and grants for graduate programs in Brazilian universities to outstanding citizens of OAS Member States. These initiatives aim to promote high-level human resource development, advance progress in participating countries, and enhance cooperation with Brazil.

ELIGIBILITY: These scholarships are open to citizens or permanent residents of any OAS Member State, excluding Brazil. Applicants must not have received prior academic scholarships from the OAS or Brazil for the same level of studies. A Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) is required for Master's and/or Doctorate program applications.

AWARD: Recipients will be awarded full tuition waiver, a partial monthly stipend, a one-time OAS grant of $1,200 USD (limited to the first 150 ranked candidates). Free Portuguese language support is provided. The benefits are available for up to 24 months for Master's and 48 months for Doctorate degrees.

AGCID Scholarships

La Agencia de Cooperación Internacional para el Desarrollo de Chile offers multiple scholarships to help students from Latin America, the Caribbean, and some African countries to carry out postgraduate and high-level training courses in Chile.

Juan Gómez Millas Scholarship

This scholarship is designed to provide financial aid to 150 foreign students from Latin America and the Caribbean who reside in Chile, and wish to further their university studies at a traditional or private institution accredited by the National Accreditation Commission.

ELIGIBILITY: To qualify for this scholarship, you must belong to the 70% of the population with the lowest income in Chile. 

AWARD: 150 first-year foreign students will be awarded financing for total or partial annual tuition with a maximum limit of CLP 1,150,000 (approximately $2,046 USD).

Universidad Tecnica Federico Santa Maria Scholarships

The Chilean Agency for International Cooperation and Development (AGCID) is offering grants to pursue Master's studies at Chilean higher education institutions in 2024.

ELIGIBILITY: This scholarship is open to citizens of South Africa, Mozambique and Angola and preferably to those who work in the public or academic sectors in their home country.

AWARD: Recipients will be awarded coverage of all expenses including tuition fees, medical insurance, monthly allowance of 560 000 CLP , book allowance of 90 000 CLP, Spanish language course and their return airfare.

Convocatoria 2024 Programa Uchile-Sylff

The University of Chile together with the “Ryoichi Sasakawa Young Leaders Fellowship Fund - Sylff” Program, administered by the Tokyo Foundation, announce the opening of the scholarship competition for Master’s programs of the University of Chile in the areas of Humanities, Sciences Social and other related, for the academic year 2024.
