The purpose of this qualification is to develop a competent professional, who has a thorough grounding in the knowledge and skills required for Diagnostic Radiography and who has gained experience in applying such knowledge and skills in accredited workplaces.

The Associate of Science in Radiographic Science degree is a three-year program of study. The first year of pre-professional courses includes General Education Core and support courses. Professional courses include study and practice in the clinical application of radiographic procedures for the purposes of imaging all parts of the human body for medical diagnosis. Practice will be in community hospitals and clinics. Graduates of the program are eligible to complete the certification examination administered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).

The program consists of the following modules: Master's thesis (30 ECTS), Specialist subjects in Radiotherapy (30 ECTS), Internship in Radiotherapy (30 ECTS), and Basic subjects (30 ECTS, incl. elective subjects 6 ECTS).

The Bachelor of Arts/Science in Radiographic Science degree is a four-year program of study. The first year of pre-professional courses includes General Education Core and support courses. Professional courses include study and practice in the clinical application of radiographic procedures for the purposes of imaging all parts of the human body for medical diagnosis. Practice will be in community hospitals and clinics. Upon completion of the Associate of Science in Radiographic Science degree and passing the certification examination administered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), graduates complete an additional 22 upper-division credits to earn a B.S. in Radiographic Science.

The Computed Tomography program is designed for individuals who have completed an A.S. degree in Radiographic Science and for other healthcare professionals who are licensed, registered, or certified in their respective areas of training. This program includes theoretical content and a clinical internship. The degree program serves as a foundation for graduate and/or further professional study.

The purpose of the qualification is to develop a professional radiation therapist who is competent in the knowledge and skills required for Radiation Therapy and has gained experience in applying such knowledge and skills in accredited workplaces.

A Bachelor of Science in Medical Imaging Sciences is a joint degree conferred by Saint Elizabeth University and Rutgers University – School of Health Related Professions after three years at SEU followed by 15 months at Rutgers University.

Medical imaging professionals capture and provide high-quality electronic medical images to radiologists for interpretation and diagnosis. These professionals work in hospitals, physicians’ offices, diagnostic imaging centers, outpatient clinics, orthopedic clinics, medical sales, and even educational settings.

Radiography involves assisting in the diagnosis and management of human illness by producing diagnostic images (also called radiographs or x-rays) of the structures in the body. Students receive hands-on training in radiographic procedures and imaging modalities and in an operating room and fluoroscopic procedures. Graduates of the program become eligible to take the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Board examination for National Registration in addition to the New Jersey State licensure. Upon licensure, graduates will qualify to work with physicians in offices, clinics, and hospitals. As a radiographer, you can specialize in mammography, computed tomography (CT), digital vascular imaging (angiography), and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI).
