This 3-week course is designed for clinicians, health system and program managers, decision-makers, and researchers who are, or have been, involved in outbreak investigations and want to be able to identify and appraise research needs and opportunities and to develop and support research as part of the outbreak response.

This Master’s programme is unique in Flanders. It will give you knowledge, skills and competences to design and conduct independent epidemiological research addressing questions on etiology, prevention, screening, diagnosis, treatment or prognosis of disease (illness), or on the enhancement or maintenance of health.

The Master of Science in Public Health (MPH) is an international program with a clear focus on health systems strengthening and improving disease prevention and control. The scope of the MPH concerns resource-constrained settings and vulnerable populations. The aim of the MPH is to enhance the student’s capacity to face current challenges such as the achievement of Universal Health Coverage, the organization of health care for infectious and non-communicable diseases, the control and elimination of (neglected) tropical diseases, the preparedness for disease outbreaks and the response to sexual and reproductive health needs of adolescents, and to health inequities in general.

This postgraduate will broaden your horizons in health and will prepare you to work in emergencies or with people in vulnerable situations, all around the world.

Every day we are faced with important global health challenges. Chronic conditions, mental illnesses and ageing, but also the effects of pollution, climate change and migration on health, are considered global health challenges of the 21st century. In line with the interdisciplinary character of this course, the lecturers and teachers involved in this Master form a unique interdisciplinary mix to deal with the current Global Health issues and challenges. The master is a collaboration between Ghent University, Catholic University of Leuven, Hasselt University, Vrije Universiteit Brussel and the University of Antwerp.

This programme integrates the most recent developments in fields like parasitology, ecology, immunology, molecular microbiology, molecular immunology and molecular epidemiology, taught by professionals with many years of field expertise.

The Leading International Vaccinology Education (LIVE) Master of Science is a two-year programme that provides students with an advanced understanding of immunology, immunopathology, infectiology, vaccine-targeted diseases, vaccinology, and related legislation, health policy and humanities.

The 2-year half-time day programme is oriented toward students who already have a master's degree in a biomedical domain, have some working experience, and want to improve their skills and knowledge of epidemiology.

The Europubhealth+ programme is an Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degree that has been recognized as a Master of excellence by the European Commission since 2006. Seven renowned European universities are collaborating to deliver the Europubhealth+ Master’s course. The programme now enjoys a vibrant international network of public health professionals and academics, and more than 435 graduates of 86 different nationalities.
