This Master Course intends to provide the adequate competences required to product optimization and innovation, by following a rather integrating approach in what concerns people, industry, society and environment. It is therefore intended to ensure specific formation in what concerns development and conception of models and products capable of providing adequate answers to demands related to market flexibility, fastness and assertiveness. Moreover, to achieve such objectives, the Course is planned to provide insight and knowledge on two core scientific areas, namely Design and Mechanical Engineering. It should also be mentioned that the latter is completed with a transversal core competence related to Project, where it is intended to consolidate the knowledge acquired within the two mentioned scientific areas, by exploring the synergies among the two thematic areas.
