Our Certificate in Biblical and Theological Studies allows you to choose what master’s-level courses you need in order to strengthen your ministry. And since it is available at our Deerfield campus, entirely online, and through our extension sites, you gain another layer of flexibility. You may be a leader who wants to grow in your teaching ability, or at a career transition and wondering about going into ministry.

In our intensive English program, you can experience life in the US and study academic English to prepare for your university degree or future career. We offer high beginning, intermediate, and advanced levels of instruction with 18-20 hours of class per week. You will share classes with students from all over the world, including Africa, Asia, Europe, the Middle East, South & Latin America, and the United States. We welcome all students, international and domestic.

Digital tools empower designers to blur the lines between fields. Take an interdisciplinary approach to Pratt’s Digital Design certificates. Combine elective classes across digital design fields with a foundation in graphic design to enter one of the multidisciplinary roles today’s designers occupy. Grow your network while building a professional design portfolio. This program features small, interactive classes, real-time instruction (either in-person, or on Zoom), free access to software for remote use, and free access to designated campus labs.

The American Language and Culture Program runs this program, where international students can study at California State University, Dominguez Hills (CSUDH) in South Los Angeles, California.

Associate of Arts/ Associate of Science Field of Study Degrees (Campus) In addition to the Associate of Arts, Associate of Science, and Associate of Arts in Teaching Degrees offered, a student may also complete an official Field of Study. The Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board has created Field of Study Degrees, that are designed to transfer as a block of credit to any Texas public college or university.

Located just north of Seattle, the Edmonds Community College Culinary Arts program is a full-time program that provides hands-on training and skills to begin work, or refine your skills, in the restaurant industry. The program’s curriculum is built around running a restaurant on campus, The College Cafe. Students participate in each station in the restaurant learning classical cooking techniques, its modern application, and global cuisines. Students also have classroom-based coursework that explores cooking methodology, managing restaurants, and culinary aspects of agriculture, health and nutrition.

Undergraduate core course. Examines different patterns of political development and contemporary politics in Europe, Latin America, Africa, and Asia. Introduces the comparative method in political science and competing theories of political development and political change.

Students pursuing an Associate of Arts degree or Associate of Science degree with less than 12 completed college-level hours will be required to take and complete EDUC 1300, a first-year general elective course that will contribute to student success by addressing factors that impact learning in college, including research and theory in learning; strategies to monitor, regulate and control cognition, motivation, and behavior; and the ability to think ethically and critically.

The college offers a number of Engineering degrees that are articulated in specific liberal arts majors. These degrees do not include the entire Core Curriculum. An articulated degree will transfer to specific universities. A student who transfers to the specified universities will not be Core complete if he/she completes one of the degrees listed below.

The Associate of Arts in Teaching (A.A.T.) degree is a Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board (THECB) approved collegiate degree program consisting of lower-division courses intended for transfer to baccalaureate programs that lead to initial Texas teacher certification. Each A.A.T. degree consists of the Core Curriculum selected by Dallas College and additional coursework required for the specific certification sought.

The Associate of Applied Science Degree (A.A.S) degree prepares students for specific career/technical skills. The requirements for each major in the Associate of Applied Science Degree (A.A.S) are clearly shown in curriculum degree plans in the Dallas College catalog and are located under Career and Technical Education Programs.

The Associate in Arts for Transfer (ADT) is intended for students who plan to complete a bachelor’s degree in a similar major at a CSU campus. Students completing these degrees(ADT) are guaranteed admission to the CSU system, but not to a particular campus or major.

Administration of Justice is the beginning coursework leading toward a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice. With the Administration of Justice degree, you will study criminal justice theory, including an examination of the constitutional rights, and the application and practice of the theory within the criminal justice system in America. With certificates in Crime Scene Investigation and Corrections, you will have more focused study in specializations within law enforcement, probation, and corrections.

For 70 years, the Intensive English Program at the University of Miami (IEP) has immersed students in American culture while preparing them for academic success through quality English-language instruction. The IEP is accredited by the CEA - Commission on English Language Program Accreditation. The IEP is a member of the UCIEP, English USA and the Florida Consortium of IEPs.

Mexico/Latin American/Latinx Studies is an interdisciplinary program that focuses on the diverse histories and cultures of the Americas. The continuing importance of Latin America for the United States and the growing Latina/o population in the Bay Area creates a number of opportunities for students to work in government, business, teaching, community organizing, law, and a host of other related fields.
