This course is designed to provide general law enforcement professionals with no previous Spanish experience with the tools necessary for interacting with native Spanish speakers. During this 4-week course, students will work through simulated interactions with Spanish speaking patients to acquire the basic linguistic knowledge and skills that will allow them to comfortably tackle these interactions when they return home.

Combining a Certificate of Higher Education in Law and Spanish is both stimulating and a smart career move. You’ll divide your study equally between both subjects. It offers a broad grounding in key concepts associated with law and in the use of Spanish. With this certificate, you’ll raise your legal awareness and acquire skills in legal analysis and methods.

The main target of UCAM's 1-Year Spanish Preparatory Program is to provide students with the contents necessary to advance one stipulated skill level per course or year, depending on the number of hours per course.

Hispanic Studies is a University of Barcelona institution that has focused on teaching Spanish language and culture to international students for over sixty years. Throughout the academic year, it offers a wide range of language and culture courses. Spanish language courses are adapted to the levels in the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFRL) and programmes are based on the Cervantes Institute Curricular Plan (PCIC). In the classes, work on grammar points is closely associated with language practice, in a communicative, dynamic, flexible framework.

The Associate in Arts in Spanish for Transfer (AA-T in Spanish) is designed to provide a clear pathway to a CSU institution for students who plan to transfer and complete a CSU major or baccalaureate degree in Spanish. The Spanish department offers courses that serve as a basis for broad liberal education, advanced degrees, and further study in languages, linguistics, and English Literature as preparation for a teaching credential. It is also supplementary preparation for many professional fields, including emergency services, the legal and medical professions, social work, Business, Hospitality Management, information technology, foreign service, public relations, journalism, translation, and interpretation.

The Spanish department offers classes at a variety of levels, from beginner to literature. There are classes for students of Spanish as a foreign language, as well as classes specifically designed for native Spanish speakers. In addition to improving students' linguistic abilities, all courses include discussion of aspects of the culture of Spanish speakers.

Our Spanish Courses (of all Levels) are designed to provide complete immersion in the Spanish language and its environment through the very experiences that students will live through both in-class and elsewhere (projects, presentations, short films, subtitling, plays, blogging, drama, art, dubbing videos), both in the Spanish classes and the Courses we offer as a complement for the Language classes: Film, Theatre, Art, Spanish for Tourism, Business Spanish, Spanish Culture and Spanish Gastronomy. All the intensive courses have university ECTS credits and all students have access to all university services and facilities.

The general objective of the course is to improve the communicative competencies in Spanish and intercultural competence as well.

The Spanish culture courses (art, cinema, politics, institutions, creative industries, with Barcelona as a backdrop), focus on communication, conversation skills and improvement of writing in Spanish; and the specific purposes courses of economy and society taught in English organized by Estudios Hispánicos for foreigners, interested in improving knowledge of these subjects with specialized teachers. These courses have been on offer for over 70 years.

Spanish provides a sequential course of study that prepares you for transfer to four-year institutions with a Spanish major or acquisition of Spanish proficiency necessary for career fields that emphasize the value of familiarity with diverse cultures and global issues.

The Associate in Arts (DTA) degree with Specialization in Spanish provides the required preparation for successful transfer into a bachelor's degree program in Spanish at the Junior level. The Associate in Arts degree is an Agreement (DTA) degree. The following course set fulfills the requirement of the Specialization in Spanish for the Associate of Arts (DTA) Degree. This specialization enables students to develop listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills in Spanish, and to analyze, examine and explore oral and written communication using a variety of topics through authentic materials, in all major time frames.

An Associate in Arts in Spanish for Transfer (AA-T) from Skyline College is intended for students who are interested in transferring to a California State University (CSU) campus with a major in Spanish, or similar major, or to enter the workforce.

The Spanish AA-T offers beginning to advanced level courses designed to develop students’ listening comprehension, speaking, reading, and writing skills through the study of language, literature, civilizations, cultures, and historical events of the Spanish-speaking world.

The University of Vic – Central University of Catalonia offers a four-week summer program on Spanish Culture in Barcelona. The objective of this programme is to give students a comprehensive understanding of Spanish culture and society. Through a multidisciplinary approach, participants will explore Spain’s rich history, dynamic society, and global influence. This Certificate of Higher Education in Business Management and Spanish allows you to combine business management with Spanish. You’ll divide your study equally between both subjects.
