14 Preparatory Programs in Romania

This program provides Romanian language courses particularly designed for foreign students who aim to undertake academic studies at a Romanian University or wish to improve and brush up on their previously acquired knowledge.

The Preparatory Year for Learning Romanian for Foreign Citizens is mandatory for those students who wish to pursue their studies (high school, university) in Romania, and do not have a Romanian language certificate.

The one-year, full-time academic program in Romanian as a Foreign Language is addressed to foreign citizens who wish to gain entry onto a Romanian degree program (at bachelor, master, Ph.D. level), as well as post-graduate and advanced training programs in various fields. The program also meets the needs of expatriates who work in Romania and who want to acquire a formal language certification. The course aims at developing international students" skills in reading, writing, listening, and speaking in Romanian for academic purposes. By the end of the course, students will have reached level B2 of the Common European Framework.

The Faculty of Medicine was first established in 1867, so that, according to the decree accompanying this decision, “the existing departments of the secondary school of medicine became faculty departments starting with the 1867-1868 academic year”, and “the tenured professors of these departments holding the academic title of Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) became faculty professors”.

Since the establishment of the Specialization - Dental Technique - in the second year on the 2nd semester, the Total Prosthesis Technology is taught. The course is taught by the Head of Works Dr. Ștefârță Alexandru.

The focus of this course is on the managerial relevance of motivation, group processes, leadership and organizational models for successful management.

Mastering and understanding international anatomical terminology and developing the ability to use it in students' academic language.

The discipline of Immunology is a compulsory discipline (2 credits) that started to carry out its activity within the Faculty of General Medicine from Craiova in 2002, after graduating from the Discipline of Bacteriology, Virusology, Parasitology.

The Preparatory Program of Romanian Language for Foreign Students is part of the Faculty of Political Sciences, Letters and Communication, the Letters Department, “Valahia” the University of Targovişte, and has a duration of 2 semesters (28 weeks, 60 credits).

A Program with Unique Features - ASURED is one of the few international programs worldwide offering education in both urban planning and real estate development within the same program.

The education laws from 1898 (art.89) state that “pharmaceutical and dental education” are part of the Faculty of Medicine in Bucharest, regarding “the courses and laboratories, as well as the placements in hospitals and mandatory examinations which must be passed in order to obtain the title of Dentist”. Nevertheless, the stipulations of these laws concerning the education of dentists were not officially enforced back then.

The objective of the course is to help the participants in the program to apply financial theory to the investment, financing and overall business decisions of the firm.

The Faculty of Midwifery and Nursing was founded in 2005, by the government decision nr. 916/2005, regarding the organization of higher education institutions that are accredited or authorized to provisionally function, thus becoming the fourth faculty of the University of Medicine and Pharmacy “Carol Davila”, alongside the traditional faculties of Medicine, Dental Medicine and Pharmacy.
