23 International Law Preparatory Programs

To succeed in a globalized and international business world, legal issues need to be considered not only from their national perspective, but also in context of international law. Therefore, it is essential to get an in-depth knowledge of the basics of European and International Business & Economic Law.

A summer university preparation programme for teens, hosted at University College London (UCL). Through interactive classes, debates, and mock trials, students will gain a clear understanding of law’s role in society and develop the analytical skills needed for entry into the UK higher education system.

This program offers a full semester (30 ECTS credits) taught in English and is open to Erasmus + and bilateral exchange students from partner universities and also to visiting students from around the world. The course offer has an academic focus on European, International and Comparative Law.

The demands of professional life may allow only shorter periods of study for obtaining a postgraduate qualification. Our postgraduate program also includes the possibility of the award of either a Diploma or Certificate in International Human Rights and Humanitarian Law based on shorter periods of coursework study.

In some professional situations, the opportunity or the need to undertake postgraduate study may be limited to obtain LL.M degree. For some participants, the need to engage in a postgraduate study may be restricted either to obtaining a broad understanding of the field or to focusing on the very specific subject matter.

The Faculty of Law at Justus Liebig University Giessen is looking forward to hosting students from all over the world for the 4th International Online Winter University in International Human Rights Law and International Humanitarian Law. The International Winter University takes place from 02nd January 2025 till 11st January 2025 and offers an in-depth approach to current challenges faced in International Human Rights Law and International Humanitarian Law and Environmental Protection.

International Law is designed to deliver comprehensive, yet accessible, coverage of the legal implications and ramifications of doing business internationally, along with the related cultural, political, economic, and ethical issues faced by global business managers. Focusing on trade, the licensing of intellectual property, and foreign direct investment, the course covers the three major forms of doing business in a foreign country through real-world examples, precedent-setting cases, managerial implications, and ethical considerations. From the legal relationship between parties in an international business transaction to managing risk to learning the special challenges of doing business in emerging economies, this course helps students understand the most common practices and critical issues in global business law.

Focus on legal issues that arise in rural communities and the food industry. Examine legal concerns surrounding water quality, land-use and other environmental issues.
