TCC’s Associate of Science in Civil and Mechanical Engineering Degree is a state-recognized Major Related Program (MRP) designed to provide a pathway for students who plan to transfer to a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering. Students planning to transfer to Environmental, Aeronautical or Industrial Engineering should also follow this pathway. Industrial Engineers design processes to improve efficiency by coordinating resources in production.

This advanced diploma is delivered with a strong practical focus. Upon completion of this programme, students emerge from the course able to demonstrate specialised and integrated technical and theoretical knowledge, with considerable depth, in subject matter related to industrial automation engineering.

This program is designed to prepare the student for a career in a wide range of industries including product and industrial design firms and fabrication and manufacturing companies. Students are introduced to product development from design through prototyping and fabrication for manufacturing.

This program offers a full semester (30 ECTS credits) taught in English that includes cross-curricular courses to the different degrees taught at this school.

The Industrial Electronics Technology Program provides entry-level skills in basic core competencies desired by the industry today. This program prepares students for work in the installation, testing, and maintenance of electrical and electronic systems in industrial, scientific, and commercial facilities. The program also provides specific training in basic computer hardware and software, programmable logic controllers, motors and motor control systems, three-phase power distribution, and human-machine interface and programming. Graduates are prepared to pursue jobs in areas such as automated manufacturing, electrical power distribution, protection systems, and other electrically-related fields.

Industrial Maintenance-Millwright Technology prepares students for work in industrial mills. This is a multi-skilled trade that uses areas of fabrication, electronics, electrical systems, automation, computers, hydraulics, PLCs, and mechanical systems. Conveyor systems, power distribution, and service to all sorts of automated equipment are taught. Rigging, mechanical drive systems, installation and alignment of equipment, and pumps are taught. The Millwright program is designed to prepare graduates for entry-level employment as apprentice technicians, with emphasis on practical experience in both theory and laboratory settings using lab equipment and assemblies similar to equipment found in the industry.

The Industrial Internet of Things (IoT) is the most sought-after technology trend in the current situation. This course enables participants to understand the basics of IoT, its protocols, and its application areas. IoT has been applied in different domains like agriculture, space, healthcare, manufacturing, construction, water, mining, etc.

This pathway is designed to meet Associate in Science Track 2 degree requirements, emphasizing mechanical, industrial, & aeronautical engineering. This pre-major pathway is designed to prepare you to transfer at the junior-level into a related engineering program at a four-year college or university.
