This year’s BHR Summer School will be part of AENEAS – European Due Diligence Law in Global Value Chains, a Sant’Anna School’s Jean Monnet Module funded by the European Union. Now in its VIII edition, the BHR Summer School is an advanced and intensive educational training program targeted at students, academics, and professionals (e.g. legal practitioners, consultants, NGOs’ personnel) aiming to further their knowledge of the most significant developments in the field of Business & Human Rights.

The Faculty of Law at Justus Liebig University Giessen is looking forward to hosting students from all over the world for the 4th International Online Winter University in International Human Rights Law and International Humanitarian Law. The International Winter University takes place from 02nd January 2025 till 11st January 2025 and offers an in-depth approach to current challenges faced in International Human Rights Law and International Humanitarian Law and Environmental Protection.

The Human Rights minor gives a firm grounding in the international human rights system and then allows students the flexibility to choose electives according to their specific interests. The minor can accompany any major.

In CISOD - Food, Sustainability and Rights the Seasonal School will introduce participants to the urgent topic of food sustainability, exploring how to build sustainable and climate-resilient agri-food systems through a dialogue between social and life sciences. Regulatory and non-regulatory measures for socially inclusive and environmentally more efficient food systems will be addressed.

The Accommodation and Human Rights Management program prepares graduates to work in the fields of Accommodation, Human Rights, Disability Management, Return to Work, Advocacy or to continue their academic careers in a variety of fields including Social Science, Law or Human Resources.

Pair a major with our five-course concentration to get an in-depth focus on human rights and humanitarian issues. Through the concentration—which includes classes in social sciences, humanities, and even fine arts—our students gain a nuanced understanding of the history of human rights and humanitarianism, and the institutional frameworks that govern them, as well as the theoretical and philosophical debates over the meanings of human rights and humanitarianism. Students grapple with a range of current and past global human rights problems and evaluate debates over the methods, motivations, and consequences of human rights and humanitarian action.

Trinity College’s Human Rights Program, the first human rights program at a liberal arts college in the United States, is committed to excellence in the study and practice of human rights. You’ll examine how different groups have understood and fought for expanded rights protection throughout history. You’ll learn about and critique the effectiveness of legal, diplomatic and political frameworks that have been employed to protect these rights.

The Minor in Human Rights Advocacy seeks to educate the next generation of advocates by engaging students in supervised human rights fact-finding, documentation, and advocacy. The Minor provides a rigorous, structured program of study of human rights through focused coursework, combined with supervised, reflective engagement in practical human rights projects in partnership with the University Network for Human Rights (UNHR).

After completing the course, the doctoral students shall have the ability to summarize scientific texts that analyze the individual in welfare society from different perspectives; compare the meaning of the concept of welfare society within different political environments.

Over our lives, we naturally develop skills that allow us to make new friends, get along with others, and use our “common sense.” In this course, we will spend time focusing on more advanced soft skills, so you can understand what future employers or clients will expect from you in the workplace. The added benefit of learning more than you already know about the softer skills is you will find that personal areas of your life can improve too.

The Peace & Conflict Studies Program at IAU emphasizes constructive and creative reflection, analyses, and mediation of conflicts worldwide. Special emphasis will be placed on how representation plays a key role in constructing perceptions of conflicted societies in the global media.
