88 ESL Preparatory Programs

In our intensive English program, you can experience life in the US and study academic English to prepare for your university degree or future career. We offer high beginning, intermediate, and advanced levels of instruction with 18-20 hours of class per week. You will share classes with students from all over the world, including Africa, Asia, Europe, the Middle East, South & Latin America, and the United States. We welcome all students, international and domestic.

The Certificate in English as a Second Language is a 10-month intensive program running annually from January to October that focuses on all language skills—speaking, listening, reading, writing—blended with immersion in Belizean culture.

The English Foundation Program is not a prerequisite for an EU degree. However, EU is an English-speaking business school and all classes, assignments, exams, lectures and final dissertations are carried out in English. If students need to improve their English to meet EU’s program admission requirements, this specialized program will help them refine their language skills and prepare them for our programs.

We prepare international students for academic success in the college environment. We believe that students learn best in a comfortable classroom environment where they actively participate in class.

The English Foundation Course (Preparatory Year) has been designed for students who wish to study at ELTE or another European university, but do not yet have the necessary level of language competence and study skills to start a BA degree program. With a minimum of 800 contact hours guaranteed, the course can bring you up to speed in as little as two semesters.

The Professional ESL program provides non-native speakers with the necessary tools and practice to effectively communicate in English and succeed in the ever-changing global market.

Our Semi-Intensive ESL program is designed for students who want a more immersive curriculum with extended study periods. Hollywood College’s Semi-Intensive English classes combine formal instruction with fun, engaging activities that promote a deeper understanding of the English language.

Our Intensive ESL program is the most comprehensive program at Hollywood College and is designed for students who want to improve their English language skills at a rapid pace. This program is designed to include formal instruction and fun, engaging activities to help students develop their language skills for academic and day-to-day English interactions.

The ESL Program's goal at Pillar College is to help non-English speakers improve their listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills.

The ESL / ALP courses are divided into four levels: Foundations (beginner), Level 1 (low intermediate), Level 2 (intermediate), and Level 3 (advanced). Each level is composed of four courses: Grammar (Parts A and B), Reading, Writing, and Speaking/Listening.

Our ESL courses are designed to build on students' previous education and English language knowledge. We measure their knowledge through a standardized English entrance test. Students will speak only through English when studying at TAIE.
