It involves the study of the interaction and co-evolution of human, physical, and biological systems. At TCC, you can earn an Associate in Science with a Specialization in Environmental Science. Upon completion of this program, you will be prepared to transfer to a four-year institution.

Environmental Science combines information from biology, chemistry, physics, and geology, stressing a scientific approach toward understanding the nature and scope of current environmental issues.

The Environmental Science degree provides students with a strong and broad scientific foundation to prepare students for transfer into Bachelor's degree programs in Environmental Science or Environmental Studies.

The ADT in Environmental Science introduces the concepts and principles upon which environmental knowledge is based, including the biological, chemical, and physical concepts underlying scientific theory and application to environmental issues. Students will develop skills for critical/analytical thinking, perceptive reading/observation, and interpretation to apply to environmental concerns affecting our everyday lives. The AS-T in Environmental Science provides students with a core curriculum to develop key skills for applying biological, physical, and chemical principles to the study of the environment and developing solutions to environmental problems.

This free online course examines water treatment technologies and their applications, such as producing usable water from wastewater. Goucher’s Environmental Studies Program is designed to encourage thinking across disciplinary boundaries in order to prepare students for meaningful engagement with central environmental questions and challenges facing current and future generations. We offer three majors, Environmental Science, Environmental Science Chemistry Emphasis, and Environmental Studies. Listed below are the requirements for each of these majors. The Environmental Studies Program also offers an Environmental Studies minor. The minor is advised by faculty affiliated with the Environmental Studies Program and can complement any major offered by Colorado College.
