TCC’s Associate of Science in Civil and Mechanical Engineering Degree is a state-recognized Major Related Program (MRP) designed to provide a pathway for students who plan to transfer to a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering. Students planning to transfer to Environmental, Aeronautical or Industrial Engineering should also follow this pathway. Environmental Engineers design solutions to local and worldwide environmental issues (often a subset of Civil Engineers).

A series of advanced certificate programs in Civil and Environmental Engineering is offered, on a part-time or full-time basis, to qualified students seeking professional training.

BEng Energy and Environmental Engineering is a direct route onto the third year of the Edinburgh Napier University BEng Energy and Environmental Engineering degree program. You will study a range of modules from Pneumatics and Hydraulics to Engineering System Analysis. This course will give you the analytical skills needed for a job in the engineering systems industry. You will learn a variety of essential areas in mechanical, electrical and systems engineering.  

This course deals with the broad aspects of environmental management relevant to practising professionals in engineering science, planning, architecture, law, surveying, health and building. The Graduate Diploma in Environmental/Sustainability Education is offered jointly by the Faculty of Environmental Studies and the Faculty of Education; this diploma will allow educators in schools, community organizations, cultural institutions and advocacy groups to develop expertise and participate in research in the field of environmental and sustainability education.

The Associate in Engineering (AE) degree shall be granted for a planned study program consisting of a minimum of 60 semester hours of credit (SHC) of courses. Within the degree program, the institution shall include opportunities to achieve competence in reading, writing, oral communication, fundamental mathematical skills, and basic computer use.
