7 English Preparatory Programs in Ireland

The Undergraduate Foundation Programme is designed to prepare international students who have completed senior secondary education for undergraduate study. All students who successfully complete the UFP are guaranteed placement on a suitable programme of undergraduate study with an OnCampus partner.

Your route to an undergraduate degree at a range of Irish partner institutions. You will study two core modules, one mandatory module and two of four optional modules. English will be integrated into the teaching of academic subjects.

The International Year One is a one-year (3-term) programme that offers successful students a pathway to Year 2 of undergraduate degree study. Students will typically study 3 — 4 subjects, depending on the pathway chosen or the intended progression degree, as well as English Language. As successful students can progress onto Year 2 of a related degree, the IELTS entry levels are higher than for the UFP. You can choose from subjects such as Accounting, Business Management, Computer Science, Cyber Security, Fashion Management, International Business, Law, and Marketing.

At Englishour, we have a number of different courses to help you bridge the gap between your formal and informal English language learning.

General English courses are available all year round and are multinational. Courses are of 15, 20 or 24 hours per week (60-minute lessons). Students can enroll for any number of weeks with a minimum stay of 1 week.

​Academic /Work & Study is a programme that is offered by Cork English World for students who wish to achieve a high level of English to WORK or STUDY in an English speaking environment.
