109 Electrical Engineering Preparatory Programs

In this program, you’ll complete the requirements of the freshman and sophomore years of most engineering programs at a university, studying calculus, physics, and chemistry. This pre-major program is designed to prepare you to transfer at the junior level into an engineering program at a four-year college or university.

The Graduate Certificate Program is designed to provide working professionals with knowledge and training in optical systems and applied optics and photonics to enhance their career opportunities and meet their current responsibilities. The certificate program compliments their technical backgrounds in science and engineering with the basic principles and applications of optical systems, lasers, and photonic devices and systems.

The Associate of Science in Electrical Engineering is a state-recognized Major Related Program (MRP) designed for students who plan to transfer to a Bachelor of Science degree program at a four-year college or university. Entry into many engineering programs is competitive, and students are urged to work closely with TCC advisors and university advisors to ensure all entry requirements are met. The first two years of a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering can be completed at TCC. Students can earn an associate degree to transfer to a Washington state public university.

The Engineering with Emphasis in Electrical Engineering Applications AS degree is designed to incorporate the engineering, science, and communication skills needed to prepare students for multiple entry-level positions in the electrical engineering field. This degree may facilitate transfer to 4-year institutions.

The Electrical Engineering Associates of Science degree program prepares students for transfer to a four-year institution to complete their baccalaureate degree in engineering and opens the door for entry-level internships in engineering.

This programme has been designed to develop and practically apply a broad knowledge base of electrical and electronic systems theory as well as essential skills required in the field of Electrical and Electronic Engineering.

The International Year One in Electrical Electronic Engineering is a first-year undergraduate equivalent Program that builds students' knowledge and skills in the Engineering field. The 2026 edition of the Summer School Enabling Technologies for Industrial Internet of Things (ET-I2oT 2026) is organized to provide 6 ECTS (about 52 hours of front lessons) in the fields of Electronics, RFID, Sensors, Networking, Web of Things, SW for IoT, Computer Engineering, targeting on one side an audience of Bachelor (last year), Master and PhD students, and on the other side early stage researchers and practitioners from Academia or Industry. Both HW and SW aspects of IoT will be presented and discussed during the school.
