The Associate in Science (AS-T) transfer degree is designed to prepare mechanical, civil, aeronautical, and industrial engineering majors for transfer to a four-year institution with junior standing. The AS-T transfer degree will generally provide the transferring student with at least 110 credits upon entry to a four-year institution. This transfer degree will satisfy some, but not all, of the general education requirements at the receiving institution. This degree requires successful completion of a minimum of 120 credits as outlined.

TCC’s Associate of Science in Civil and Mechanical Engineering Degree is a state-recognized Major Related Program (MRP) designed to provide a pathway for students who plan to transfer to a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering. Students planning to transfer to Environmental, Aeronautical or Industrial Engineering should also follow this pathway. Civil Engineers design and plan infrastructures, such as roads, bridges, and water systems.

Upon completion of this undergraduate certificate, you will acquire fundamental knowledge, skills and understanding in the key core units of the civil engineering discipline. You will also demonstrate scientific, mathematical, contextual factors and design practice knowledge - contextualized to engineering applications such as ‘surveying’.
