The Civil and Environmental Engineering PhD (CENE PhD) degree program provides opportunities for students to gain expertise in a broad range of research areas that support state initiatives, closely tie to campus research thrusts, and align with federal funding sources such as NSF, DoE, DoD, USDA and NASA. PhD in Public Health Sciences with specialization in Epidemiology The specialization in Epidemiology in the PhD program in Public Health Sciences is designed to develop academic researchers in population-based epidemiology. To graduate, students in the PhD specialization in Epidemiology must be able to demonstrate the following competencies: Explain the evolving paradigms of epidemiological theory and study design and their impact on public health services.
