As an inter- and transdisciplinary PhD program, Gender Studies at Sabancı University investigates how relations of gender and sexuality are embedded in social, political, economic, and cultural formations through a wide variety of academic backgrounds to introduce the doctoral students to the concepts, methods and cutting-edge research that shape gender analyses. 

The program offers the PhD candidates the main courses of Current Issues in International Relations, Comparative Politics, Turkish Political Life, Political Theory and Research Methods as well as a wide variety of 30 elective courses under five different “fields of specialization”: “International Relations”, “Comparative Politics”, “Turkish Politics”, “European Politics” and “Political Theory”.

The Ph.D. in Psychology curriculum offers coursework in Psychology drawing on spiritual traditions, somatic practices, creative arts, mythology, indigenous wisdom, literary and poetic imagination, deep ecology, mystical philosophy, cultural history, and social critique. The education programs offered in our department are conducted under the "Thesis Postgraduate Degree Program" which is affiliated to Bezmialem Foundation University Health Sciences Institute. In Anatomy Thesis Postgraduate Program provided by our department; classical macroscopic anatomy education as well as neuroanatomy and clinical anatomy education are focused on. Graduates of postgraduate anatomy graduate with a "postgraduate degree".
