The Faculty of Law is famous for its excellent graduate courses and valued degrees. Our Doctoral School is based on the esteemed training skills and scholarly capacities of the teaching staff of this Faculty, and it is deeply devoted to the ethical and cultural values represented by the University. Internationality and multidisciplinarity are highly supported and embodied in our doctoral training.

The study program is primarily designated for the graduates with a Master’s degree in Political Science or any other field of Social Sciences who intend to deepen their knowledge in Political Science, focusing on the issue of democratic and nondemocratic forms of government (changes in political systems, with a special emphasis on development trends connected with modernization and democratization, other issues of comparative analysis, including national and regional identities, or the analysis of individual elements of political systems).

The Political Marketing Doctorate Program, Actors and Institutions in Contemporary Societies is inserted in the field of research in Political Science, Public Administration and Sociology, presenting the doctoral student with a research scenario from the construction of critical thinking as well as discussion , empirical and theoretical deepening in key social and political problems, the formulation of relevant research questions and identification of knowledge gaps in the field of political and social sciences.

The doctoral program focuses on identifying a common thematic area: understanding the processes that drive social and political change. In an increasingly complex and globalized world, understanding these processes, both innovative and persistent, necessarily requires the contribution of multiple disciplines.

The Political Studies - POLS programme integrates coherently empirical-positive and theoretical-normative approaches in political science. The programme therefore provides students with the methodological tools and cultural background common to the various lines of study and research, and a solid specialised preparation in four main areas.

The Doctorate of Political Science program provides students with valuable, comprehensive knowledge of government and global politics, preparing them to analyze complex political problems and recognize potential solutions in both the public and private sectors. The Doctorate of Political Science program is offered online via distance learning. After evaluating both academic record and life experience, AIU staff working in conjunction with Faculty and Academic Advisors will assist students in setting up a custom-made program, designed on an individual basis.

This doctoral Program aims, generally, to provide high quality advanced training in Political Science, and generate valuable contributions to research in this area.
