0 Degree Programs in North Korea

Due to the strained relations with the rest of the world, no international students travel to North Korea for higher education. Those who live within the country are subject to strict curriculums of outdated information imbalanced subject matter.

Requirements for the PhD program often involve the student having already obtained a Master’s degree. Additionally, a thesis or dissertation primarily consisting of original academic research must be submitted. In some countries, this work may even need to be defended in front of a panel.
