All doctoral programs in mathematics are consolidated within the Hadamard Doctoral School of Mathematics (EDMH), co-accredited with Paris-Saclay University and PSL University. This training ranges from pure mathematics to the most applied mathematics, including subjects at the interface with mathematics: particularly with economics, IT, mechanical engineering, physics, engineering, and life sciences.

The aim of the PhD programme is to provide opportunities for the growth of researchers and teachers in the fields of computer science and mathematics by promoting the training of professionals in basic and applied research, economics or public administration whose knowledge, skills and competences meet the requirements of the highest level specialists in the field of mathematics and computer science in Latvia and internationally.

The purpose of the Ph.D. in Mathematics is to provide qualifying students with an in-depth understanding and integrated knowledge of advanced applicable theory in the field of mathematics.

Doctoral study program Didactics of Mathematics focuses on the preparation of scientists and conceptual workers with competencies for scientific research in the didactics of mathematics and the analysis and evaluation of curricular curriculum content, including teacher training universities. The Didactics of Mathematics program mainly involves the field of mathematics, pedagogy, general didactics, and psychology. Program without specialization.
