PhD Degrees in Natural Sciences Mathematics

Gdansk city is located on the Baltic coast and is the center of the metropolitan area. With its 3 universities and 11 high schools students can enroll themselves in several courses of science and technology. The universities offer high standard education in a healthy environment.

The subject of mathematics is often paired up with other subjects such as education, statistics, finance, and computer science. This pairing can give added value in the teaching, computer programming, and financial forecasting and planning fields.

Like many other EU countries, Poland offers inexpensive or even free tuition to EU students. Prospective students should apply directly to their chosen Polish institution. The University of Warsaw, for example, charges between £1,300 and £2,500 per year for its English language courses.

Requirements for the PhD program often involve the student having already obtained a Master’s degree. Additionally, a thesis or dissertation primarily consisting of original academic research must be submitted. In some countries, this work may even need to be defended in front of a panel.
