The PhD in Cultural Systems - Cultural Heritage and Museum Studies constitutes a unique multidisciplinary environment. It trains students to undertake cutting-edge research in the many scientific fields related to cultural systems and to operate as high-level cultural heritage professionals.

The National Doctoral Programme in Cybersecurity (Ph.D.-CySec) aims at forming a new generation of scholars, and future decision makers who can support and increase the resilience of citizens, public institutions, and businesses to cyberattacks, by developing and properly implementing digital processes and infrastructures that are more secure and reliable.

The Ph.D. Program in Cognitive and Cultural Systems unites disciplines that have been carefully selected for their ability to provide the necessary cultural, methodological, and instrumental know-how for the analysis of complex social, cognitive, psychological, and cultural systems. It is truly a unique Ph.D. Program thanks to its common topics of study that consist of cognitive, cultural, and social systems.

EADS trains students to undertake cutting-edge research in a wide range of economic and social disciplines with a unique multidisciplinary approach that relies on the unifying language of statistics and data science, as well as on selected tools from computer science and psychology. EADS students also have the opportunity to complete their research projects under joint supervision (double-degree) with partner universities, including KU Leuven and the University of Alicante. All students are encouraged to spend part of their studies abroad, both within the Erasmus+ framework and through ad hoc mobility agreements.

The MBHT Ph.D. program offers advanced, interdisciplinary research training on the nature and evolution of human thought, mind, and behavior. By integrating neuroscience, psychology, philosophy of science, and the history of philosophy, the program aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of the human mind in its cognitive, affective, social, and cultural dimensions. MBHT embraces two complementary perspectives. On one hand, it promotes the study of human neurophysiology and psychology, exploring the mechanisms underlying mental functions and behaviors. On the other, it examines the historical and epistemological foundations of scientific knowledge and human thought, tracing their historical development from an intercultural perspective.  MBHT trains researchers to conduct innovative analyses of human thought, behavior, and the brain, addressing both their biological and cultural foundations through advanced interdisciplinary methodologies. Graduates will be prepared to tackle complex scientific and societal challenges, contributing to advancements in fields such as mental health, intercultural understanding, and the ethics of technology. The program aims to shape a new generation of scholars who combine scientific rigor with a historical-philosophical perspective, fostering a non-reductionist approach to the complexity of the human mind.
