PhD in Public Administration Sciences: The Doctoral School of Public Administration Sciences was established in 2013. Currently, it is the only doctoral school specializing in the field of public administration in Hungary. The aim of the Doctoral School’s program is to provide postgraduate-level education to professionals (researchers and practitioners) working in the field public administration.

The Faculty of Law is famous for its excellent graduate courses and valued degrees. Our Doctoral School is based on the esteemed training skills and scholarly capacities of the teaching staff of this Faculty, and it is deeply devoted to the ethical and cultural values represented by the University. Internationality and multidisciplinarity are highly supported and embodied in our doctoral training.

The Doctoral School of Sociology at the Corvinus University of Budapest aims to assist motivated students to carry out problem-oriented, theoretically grounded, and methodologically sound empirical social research.

The objective of the Doctoral School of Social Communication operating since 2012 is the examination of issues of theoretical and applied communication, the clarification of the notion of communication, its role in society and its theoretical context, as well as the exploration of the sociological, socio/psychological, cultural, anthropological and ethological aspects of communication.

The Doctoral School of Political Science was accredited by the Hungarian Accreditation Committee (HAC) in 2002. The accreditation was confirmed by the following resolutions: HAC 2009. X. 2 (2009/7/XII/2/); MAB 2014. XII. 12 (2014/10/XIV/51/2/757). The Doctoral School is registered at the HAC with number DVA1818/I/2002.

The Doctoral School operates at the Business School of CUB under the control of the University Doctoral Council (“EDT”). The departments of the Faculty, as well as other university faculties and supervisors competent based on the topic, are involved in the work of the Doctoral School.

The Ph.D. program in Business and Management aims to prepare students to carry out high-quality research in management and business-related areas. In order to achieve this goal Ph.D. students take courses in research methodology and subject area topics. These courses are designed to inform students of the latest research in that area.

The curriculum also includes the term in which it is recommended to complete the compulsory subjects. It is composed in a way that doctoral students can complete their study obligations in two years.

The Doctoral School of Applied Informatics and Applied Mathematics started its activities. in 2009. Its aim is to train researchers – mainly with an engineering background – who are familiar with the methods and techniques of informatics, computer science, and applied mathematics, and can solve real industrial research and development tasks using multi-disciplinary knowledge, communication skills, and teamwork experience.
