The human sciences underline the importance and value of the analysis of the human being from an integrated historical, philosophical, and artistic perspective. Through an in-depth examination of world history, politics, religion, philosophy and art. Students in this research course should investigate how perspectives influence each other. Art is perceived as the expression of historical events and ideas governing a particular era. History is recognized as the confrontation between ideas, society and politics and their evolution. The ideas that characterize an epoch derive from the analysis of previous philosophical failures. A PhD by research should address the great crises of this century in a different way: globalization, environmental degradation, social divide and cultural clashes.

PhD Degrees in Humanities Studies Humanities
The academic study of humanities provides students with a broad understanding of many key areas of human history and culture. This can include studies in the visual and performing arts, history, and literature, as well as the teaching of critical thinking and rhetoric skills.
Officially known as the Italian Republic, the country is found in southern Europe. The official language is Italian and the cultural rich capital is Rome. Many of the world's oldest universities are located in Italy, in particular the University of Bologna (founded in 1088). There are three Superior Graduate Schools with "university status", three institutes with the status of Doctoral Colleges, which function at graduate and post-graduate level.
Requirements for the PhD program often involve the student having already obtained a Master’s degree. Additionally, a thesis or dissertation primarily consisting of original academic research must be submitted. In some countries, this work may even need to be defended in front of a panel.
