Environmental engineering is an academic area of study that trains students to mitigate or remove the waste and pollution produced by manufacturing and other harmful business industries. Individuals who study environmental engineering often go on to careers in government or work for private companies, tackling issues such as recycling systems, water sanitation and waste disposal solutions.

Hong Kong, found on the south coast of China, the country is one of the two Special Administrative Regions in the Republic of China. Hong Kong's higher education is placed in the Englandโ€™s structure as well as international systems. It is managed by the country's Education Bureau.

Requirements for the PhD program often involve the student having already obtained a Masterโ€™s degree. Additionally, a thesis or dissertation primarily consisting of original academic research must be submitted. In some countries, this work may even need to be defended in front of a panel.

Part time learning allows one to obtain part-time degrees even if one cannot attend school on a full-time basis. One can learn at his or own pace, gradually accumulating credits which count towards final qualification.
