Computer engineering focuses on teaching students a wide array of skills that are useful across many different industries. Skills such as software development, coding and cryptography may be utilized in a variety of fields which use technology throughout daily operations.

Universities in Turkey provide either two or four years of education for undergraduate studies, while graduate programs last a minimum of two years. There are around 820 higher education institutions in Turkey including 76 universities with a total student enrollment of over 1 million. The quality of education at the Turkish universities varies greatly, some providing education and facilities on par with internationally renowned schools.

Requirements for the PhD program often involve the student having already obtained a Masterโ€™s degree. Additionally, a thesis or dissertation primarily consisting of original academic research must be submitted. In some countries, this work may even need to be defended in front of a panel.
