1 Bioscience PhD Degree Programs

Bioscience studies focus on explaining biological processes through the application of biology, chemistry, and physics. Courses may focus on plants, animals, or humans and prepare students for specialized studies in medicine, ecology, microbiology, and other fields related to living organisms.

Requirements for the PhD program often involve the student having already obtained a Master’s degree. Additionally, a thesis or dissertation primarily consisting of original academic research must be submitted. In some countries, this work may even need to be defended in front of a panel.
