Wrocław is considered as the third largest center of education in Poland. In thirty well known institutions, there are more than 135,000 students. The Wrocław University of the city offers healthy academic environment to local and overseas students.
Conservation studies looks at different threats to a healthy ecosystem. Students may gain a broad, interdisciplinary knowledge of a wide range of environmental issues. They may also learn about the economic, political and social forces involved in environmental degradation.
Like many other EU countries, Poland offers inexpensive or even free tuition to EU students. Prospective students should apply directly to their chosen Polish institution. The University of Warsaw, for example, charges between £1,300 and £2,500 per year for its English language courses.
Requirements for the PhD program often involve the student having already obtained a Master’s degree. Additionally, a thesis or dissertation primarily consisting of original academic research must be submitted. In some countries, this work may even need to be defended in front of a panel.
