6 Performing Arts Degree Programs in Romania

The German language acting program within the Faculty of Music and Theater of the West University of Timişoara, was established in 1992 and aims to train professional actors primarily for the German language scenes in Romania and other countries from Europe. A central place in training is occupied by the discovery and development of artistic personality through improvisation exercises, stage transposition of epic texts, role studies with an ascending degree of difficulty, studio productions and shows with audiences, as well as theatrical internships.

This Master's program, with a duration of two years, is dedicated to those who want to develop their skills in the field of animation theater, by deepening the understanding and practice of this art. Supported by a program that combines the learning process with that of research, through means specific to the artistic experiment, master students acquire the ability to fully realize an animation show, using both traditional and digital techniques. Among the disciplines studied are: Directing the animation show, Visual expression in the Animation Theater, Aesthetics of the performing arts, Technique of the Animation Theater, Advanced handling systems, Sound expression in the Animation Theater, Scenographic Art, Multimedia in the contemporary show, Creative workshop , Public Policy and Cultural Legislation and Specialized Practice.

Within this Master's program, students deepen their knowledge and understanding of screenwriting. During this two-year process, the theoretical aspects are combined with the actual practice. Master participants study the history of screenwriting, the specificity of the film script and the possibilities of defining it. At the same time, he becomes familiar with different cinematic narrative structures, approaches specific genres, analyzes the possibilities of adapting a literary text and explores types of scenarios characteristic of television or VOD platforms (series, mini-series, etc.). The master's degree in screenwriting marks the transition from the tutoring system (approached in the bachelor's program) to the script doctoring system: the teachers of the year guide and support students in finding the theme, style and way of telling their specific story, as a script would do. doctors often used by industry screenwriters. At the end of each Master's year, students have in their portfolio at least one feature film script.

The Master Documentary Film program prepares authors dedicated to this cinematographic genre. The study program addresses all aspects of training professionals in the field, combining theory with practice. The stages of creating and making the documentary are assumed conceptually and concretely by students, they are thus encouraged to address research topics in the area of cinematic language, working methods, role and social impact of documentary film.
