The BSc in Logistics with Supply Chain Management is one of the few logistics degrees which combines technological knowledge with business and management in order to meet the needs of the logistics industry. Upon successful completion of the program, students earn a degree from Muscat University.

The Department was established in the university in 1986. It started with three sections: Islamic Law (Sharia), Religion Foundations and Islamic Education. As education is linked to the requirements of the job market, the Sharia and Religious Foundations Sections were suspended in 1991, while the Islamic Education section continued. The Department focused its efforts on providing highly qualified cadres in the fields of education and academic research. The Department strategy agrees with the general strategy of the College to prepare professional teachers and qualify specialists educationally and pedagogically. The Department applies this strategy through its annual executive plans, active participation in academic research and community service. In 2011 the Master's degree program in Islamic Education was launched in the department.

The College offers a number of leading academic disciplines that cater to the labour market needs through the various academic programs in the fields of Management Sciences (Business Administration, Accounting, Finance and Banking), English Language (Literature and Translation), Information Technology (Computer Sciences and Software Engineering), Design (Graphic and Interior Design) and Law, as well as the Foundation Program, which trains new students in English, mathematics and computer skills and study skills in order to engage in the academic disciplines they have already chosen.

The Bachelor of Information Technology (BIT) degree is a 4 year 128 credit hour program taught in English, designed to produce graduates who are competent in their major disciplines, as well as IT in general; graduates who are ready to be involved in the development of Omani industry.
