The Postgraduate Diploma in Musculoskeletal Medicine (PGDipMSM) is specifically aimed at medical practitioners in general primary care, trainees in associated specialist disciplines, and those wishing to commence training towards specialisation in Musculoskeletal Medicine. The diploma is available to students living and studying within New Zealand or Australia. It comprises ten papers taught over a minimum of two years, and includes both distance- and Internet-based theoretical teaching, and two practical 'hands-on', on-campus components.

The Postgraduate Diploma in Surgical Anatomy (PGDipSurgAnat) is a one–year Program providing instruction in clinically relevant anatomy to New Zealand registered medical practitioners or those with an equivalent overseas qualification.

The Bachelor of Theology (BTheol) requires three years of full-time study. The degree can also be completed via Distance Learning. Students are required to take papers in various Theology subjects areas and are also able to include up to five papers from outside Theology in their degree program.

The Master of General Practice (MGP) degree is a one year full-time equivalent qualification that can be completed as a thesis. Students enter the MGP after completing the Postgraduate Diploma in General Practice (PGDipGP). The MGP is an internationally recognised qualification for practitioners in the field of general practice. Graduates from the Program are equipped to work in academic and clinical settings. This course is also available through Distance Learning.

The Master of Aviation Medicine (MAvMed) qualification is a 4-year part-time, distance-learning course offered globally. The core of the Master’s degree begins with the Postgraduate Diploma in Occupational Medicine (PGDipOccMed) or the Postgraduate Diploma in Aeromedical Retrieval and Transport (PGDipAeroRT). These four papers lead into four additional advanced papers required to complete the Master’s qualification. Once completed, students will have earned a Diploma in addition to a Master’s qualification.

The Postgraduate Certificate in Civil Aviation Medicine (PGCertCAvMed) is most appropriate for those planning to become aviation medical examiners. It is a fully-distance, two paper Program taken over the course of a year.

The Postgraduate Diploma in Occupational Medicine (PGDipOccMed) is a two-year, part-time, distance-taught program for international students. The diploma is a stand-alone qualification used as a qualifying possible point for admission to Fellowship of Occupational Medicine training for specialist training in many countries around the world.

The Postgraduate Certificate in Occupational Medicine (PGCertOccMed) is a one-year, part-time, distance-taught program that provides core competencies for medical practitioners who provide occupational health services at a non-specialist level. It is particularly suitable for General Practitioners, Family Doctors, Internal Medicine Specialists, Neurologists etc. who consult on health and wellbeing and the workplace.

It comprises a selection of five papers from ten papers offered, and can be completed on a part-time basis. The papers include both distance- and Internet-based theoretical teaching, and a practical 'hands-on', on-campus component.

The Master of Nursing Science (MNSc) is an intensive integrated Program of study, usually completed in two calendar years of full time study, which offers a pathway to a nursing career. Graduates from any discipline will be considered for this qualification. Students will engage in clinically-focused, face-to-face and online, research-informed learning through the University of Otago, Christchurch, in partnership with healthcare providers in the South Island. Students will develop their knowledge and skills for practice through case-based scenarios, clinical simulation, extensive clinical experiences and research.

The Master of Laws (Applied Law) in Common Law Practice (NZ) is designed to meet the needs of the New Zealand legal profession for higher level, practice-based skills acquisition across a range of specialized practice areas.

The Postgraduate Diploma in Theology (PGDipTheol) requires one year of full-time or its equivalent in part-time study and may be taken in Biblical Studies, Christian Thought and History or Pastoral Studies. Candidates are required to hold a Bachelor of Theology (BTheol) degree in the major subject of the proposed Program with satisfactory grades.

The Postgraduate Certificate in Higher Education (PGCertHighE) is a qualification for those who teach tertiary students in universities and polytechnics. It is a part-time Program consisting of two 30 point papers that can be completed in a minimum of one year and a maximum of three. Students can continue and complete the Postgraduate Diploma in Higher Education (PGDipHighE).
