The goal of this programme is to educate specialists for independent work in research and education areas of modern life sciences and technologies. Having completed the Molecular Biology programme, a graduate has deep knowledge of Molecular Biology and is able to analyze and evaluate scientific and practical data, generate and implement scientific novelties in areas of modern life sciences, and independently solve problems related to molecular biology, biotechnology, and biomedicine.

The goal of this programme is to deepen and broaden knowledge in biochemistry and related sciences and understand the achievements and perspectives of biochemistry. The program provides research skills needed to know and understand modern methods and technologies necessary for the creative development and implementation of scientific ideas.

The aim of the program is to prepare the professionals that possess the advanced knowledge and skills in both biotechnology and materials science by combining the desing and problem-solving skills of engineering with the ones of biomedical sciences and are capable of using the acquired knowledge while solving practical problems in the biomedically oriented scientific research.

The goal of this program is to educate specialists for research, development, education, business, and the public sector to solve problems in modern biomedical sciences, environment, and ecology. You will gain a good knowledge of general principles of operation and pathology in live systems, the capabilities, and limitations of modern biophysical methods, principles of data analysis, and planning of the scientific investigation.

The Pharmaceutical Chemistry programme is more involved with the pharmaceutical industry and research aspects than with a traditional pharmacist’s customer service and patient care responsibilities. The studies will provide a graduate with the professional skills to work in industrial companies that develop, produce, investigate and/or supply pharmaceutical products, or in research institutes, or to continue their studies in doctoral programmes in the fields of Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biotechnology or Medical Sciences.

The Systems Biology Master’s program is developed in collaboration with the Faculty of Medicine, Life Sciences Center, and the Faculty of Mathematics and Informatics. This interdisciplinary Master’s degree program prepares students to perform real-world work in rapidly developing fields including, but not limited to, biological systems modelling, bioengineering, synthetic biology, bioinformatics, neurobiology and data analysis. It is ideal for current and future biologists who wish to take advantage of the most powerful statistical models and programming tools, to produce quantifiable results in their field of choice.

Medicinal Chemistry – interdisciplinary area of studies and scientific research, which involves chemistry, biology, pharmacy and other sciences for creation and development of new medicines. The scope of the programme is preparation of qualified, motivated and creative specialists, who have deep knowledge of chemistry and research skills, are able to formulate and solve the issues of medicinal chemistry science and pharmaceutical industry, seeking to work at the high tech scientific and industrial companies, which produce and supply pharmaceutical preparations, or to continue their education in doctoral studies.

The Biology and Genetics study programme aims to prepare high-quality, broad spectrum specialist in biology and genetics that are distinguished by creative and critical thinking, having fundamental low-based knowledge and faculties necessary for various biology and genetics related tasks.
