The Actuarial and Financial Engineering master's programme at the University of Tartu aims to provide students with skills and knowledge of quantitative risk assessment and management methods at financial institutions: banks, insurance companies, investment funds, pension funds, financial supervision authorities, securities firms, credit companies, etc., in Europe and worldwide.

The programme prepares specialists on handling and analysing spatial data and developing decision support systems.

Excellence in Analytical Chemistry (EACH) is an international two-year Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degree programme that gives students a unique opportunity to study at two outstanding European universities.

The main aim of the programme is to educate specialists with skills and knowledge that will help them to find jobs and contribute to the success of various companies working on the field of industrial or medical biotechnology, circular bioeconomy, bioprocessing, etc.

Materials Science and Technology is a master’s program with a focus on developing and commercializing new materials and their applications. Studies of materials science and the basics of entrepreneurship are combined with activities aimed at creating a product and its manufacturing technology.

Teaching is organised into modules combining lectures, seminars and laboratory work in the recently renovated laboratory of Polymer Physics and Technology, which is equipped with state-of-the-art devices.

Assistant Pharmacist curriculum in English is unique in the Baltic Region and will be carried out for 3 years in a system of study cycles, including contact studies and mostly independent work and e-learning via Moodle and web-based seminars (e.g. Zoom). The contact studies period will vary between semesters, for example during I and II semester there will be 5 weeks and during III and IV semester there will be 3 weeks of contacts studies. The curriculum is focused on pharmacotherapy, pharmacology and phytotherapy with the aim to educate graduate pharmacy assistants who are ready to work in general pharmacies but are also able to work in pharmaceutical and health care companies.

The digital era needs digital solutions. Digital solutions can prevent and manage healthcare issues faster and more effectively both at the personal and societal levels. E-health innovations are proven to promote health and behaviour change in various health conditions such as heart disease, diabetes, etc. However, developing effective technological solutions for behaviour change requires an interdisciplinary approach.
