The vision for the Department of Energy Resources Engineering is to be a national and international pioneering and referential offered program in innovation, adaptation, and development of energy conversion technologies through advanced working systems with high efficiency. Graduates of this program will meet the challenges of the growing energy demands without jeopardizing the environment.

The graduate study program is intended to prepare the student to carry out basic and applied scientific research in the fields relevant to chemical and petrochemical industries, in order to develop new products and/or improve the properties of existing products.

The Faculty of Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research at the German University in Cairo (GUC) offers a postgraduate diploma in Translational Biology & Molecular Medicine. This two-semester practical postgraduate program provides students with a broad foundation in basic and applied molecular genetics with hand-on practical experience. This course will mainly target those students who want to pursue research abroad in biology research at large including molecular medicine, genetics, molecular biology, biochemistry, immunology, cancer research, etc.

Applied and Computational Mathematics (A.C.M.) is an interdisciplinary program of graduate study. A.C.M. involves both mathematics and a partner discipline such as engineering, biological science, chemistry, sustainable energy or physics, and other diverse fields.

This program is designed to prepare M.Sc. students for their future career by equipping them with the main educational requirements of professional skills to the practice of Materials and Energy Resources field. This is to provide awareness of research in materials science and to encourage the development of inventiveness while searching for scientific solutions to technical problems.
