This program teaches the principles and practices of safety engineering for leadership careers in industry and is intended to meet an identified industry need for continuing education for its professionals. The industry is in a state of unprecedented growth, wherein technology advancements are ever changing and even the most recent graduates need continued education training and knowledge in order to succeed.

Engineering management prepares engineers for careers in the management of engineering and technical organizations and systems. The program consists of a set of four foundational courses in the analysis of data-driven economic decision making, as well as a set of four specialization courses.

The main focus in Electrical engineering is electric and electronic devices, circuits, systems and applications. In our program, students choose one of seven focus areas: Analog and Mixed Signal​; Biomedical Imaging, Sensing Genomic Signal Processing​; Device Science and Nanotechnology​; Energy and Power​; Electromagnetics and Microwaves​; Information Science and Systems.

Computer engineering focuses on the design, analysis and application of computers and on their applications as components of systems. The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Texas A&M sustains and strengthens its teaching and research program to provide students with inspiration and quality education in the theory and practice of computer engineering.

Petrophysics is the study of the physical and chemical properties of reservoirs (rocks and fluids). It is the first such program in North America and addresses properties of subsurface rock formations and the fluid within those strata with particular application to the petroleum exploration and production industry. The course work including the graduate research project is a multidisciplinary program with Geology, Physics, and Natural Gas Engineering courses.

The Master of Science in Nursing-Nursing Education track prepares the graduate to apply principles of education in the role of educator in various patient care settings and in institutions of higher education through completion of a 36-semester credit hour curriculum. The course instruction is delivered primarily online allowing students to balance career, family, and other responsibilities while advancing their education. Admitted students will be asked to travel to the Bryan-College Station campus for a one-day New Student Conference prior to the start of the program and a limited number of class activities. Advanced Health Assessment requires students to complete a total of 45 hours on the Bryan-College Station campus to meet the clinical objectives of the course as set forth by the American Association of Colleges of Nursing for any MSN degree. Students will complete the clinical hours in two separate on-campus visits requiring overnight stays for students at a distance. Students will be responsible for obtaining their own preceptors for two courses taken in the later semesters. Further information on preceptors will be provided at orientation.

The Master of Science in Architecture is an advanced, multidisciplinary, 32-credit hour thesis degree program designed to provide highly qualified students with a traditional academic foundation in theoretical concepts and research methods in Architecture. In this program, students pursue support courses and develop a thesis topic in an emphasis area offered by the department or research centers associated with the college. The MS degree is a non-professional degree for those seeking advanced knowledge in preparation for careers in architectural research, university teaching, or specialized practice and consulting. The degree may also serve as a pathway toward a Ph.D. in architecture. Admission to the Master of Science in Architecture program is offered to those students possessing professional degrees in architecture as well as to those possessing undergraduate degrees in related disciplines. Admission depends upon the chosen area of research and the availability of qualified faculty in emphasis areas identified by applicants.

The Master of Science in Nursing-Family Nurse Practitioner track prepares the graduate to practice as a primary care provider to a wide range of patients while focusing on health promotion, risk reduction, disease prevention, and illness management. The course instruction is delivered primarily online allowing students to balance career, family, and other responsibilities while advancing their education.

The Master of Science in Nursing-Forensic Nursing track prepares the graduate to care for victims and perpetrators of traumatic events or criminal acts through completion of a 36-semester credit hour curriculum. While caring for their patients, the forensic nurse is also responsible for observing, recognizing, collecting, and documenting forensic evidence related to the traumatic event or criminal act for subsequent use in civil or criminal legal proceedings. The course instruction is delivered primarily online allowing students to balance career, family, and other responsibilities while advancing their education.

Work leading to the degree of Master of Science (MS) is designed to give students advanced knowledge at the core of the discipline and in one specialized area related to the student's interests. Core knowledge includes classical and contemporary theory as well as qualitative and quantitative methods related to the scientific study of society. The MS program accommodates students with interests in race/ethnicity, gender, social class, politics, environment, organizations, health, social psychology, crime, law, deviance, punishment, demography, migration/immigration, educations, residential segregation, economic development, economic sociology, historical sociology, and culture. Students work closely with a mentor to learn their specialty area in depth, including an option to conduct original research in their area of interest. Students have the option to pursue a thesis or non-thesis Master of Science degree. The final basis for granting the degree shall be the candidate’s grasp of the subject matter in their specialized area. In addition, the candidate must have acquired the ability to express thoughts clearly and forcefully in both oral and written languages. Students who graduate with a master’s degree in Sociology are well-prepared to transfer to doctoral programs and have a wide spectrum of career fields from which to choose. Many students will pursue careers as lecturers in colleges or universities or as researchers in the public and private spheres.

Texas A&M's Master of Science in Construction Management (MSCM) is one of five accredited programs of its kind in the nation. Furthermore, it is among the few graduate construction programs classified as a STEM program. The MSCM has broad appeal to a wide audience of potential students. This program provides an advanced course of study to individuals with extensive experience in construction. The program can also be a path to the construction industry for those with little experience. Students with a background in architecture, engineering, and business find success in this program. The MSCM degree has both thesis and non-thesis options. Each option takes approximately two years to complete.

The BIMS MS Non-Thesis degree program equips students with a strong foundation in the biomedical sciences and provides an educational experience that positions students to achieve their aspirations of becoming health professionals. The majority of BIMS MS Non-Thesis students have the goal of pursing a professional program of study in one of the various fields of medicine.
