The Master’s in Agricultural Education at N.C. A&T will prepare you for a professional career in teaching or communicating the complexities of the global agriculture and natural resources systems that we all depend on. Professional Licensure – This curriculum prepares individuals to teach agriscience education in middle and high schools. Graduates of this track are eligible to apply for advanced (graduate level) licensure in North Carolina. This track offers graduates versatility in career options, because it prepares them for the many other professions that rely on agricultural educators

The Master of Science in Civil Engineering program provides advanced study and research in the following areas: Environmental/Water Resources, Structures/Geotechnical, Transportation/Regional Development, Construction Management, and Energy Resources/ Systems.

Mathematicians use advanced mathematics to develop and understand mathematical principles. They also use advanced mathematics to solve engineering, computational, data analytics, manufacturing, and other real world problems. Students in the mathematics graduate program are likely to choose areas such as statistics, mathematical modeling, theoretical mathematics or applied mathematics. The goal of this program is to give the student a thorough background and research training their chosen area of applied mathematics. The faculty provide high-quality instruction and student mentoring to maintain an environment that enhances the learning of mathematics as a living discipline. Students participate in research activities with professors and may provide service to the community.

This PSM program in the Department of Chemistry educates the student for a professional career in industry, government, or non-profit organizations. In addition to required graduate-level chemistry courses utilizing chemical and/or biochemical processes and instrumentation, the student will take non-science graduate-level courses from the College of Business and Economics. Each student will be actively involved in exploring and participating in a unique project experience with industry to acquire specific skills and knowledge in support of their individual career aspirations. These may include manufacturing, quality control, biotechnology, or toxicology. The program expertly combines chemistry featuring advanced technical skills with business coursework focused on problem solving and decision making techniques.

The Master of Science in Food and Nutritional Sciences is designed to develop the basic knowledge and skills necessary to undertake research in Food and Nutritional Sciences and other related areas. It also develops competencies to work as food and nutrition specialists in education, or with other community nutrition agencies and food industries. The program also develops theoretical and experimental competencies necessary to pursue additional graduate studies or obtain professional degrees.

The field of Information Technology is today's fastest-growing profession. As information technology continues to advance rapidly, job offers in computing professions remain high. Our Information Technology program will give you an in-depth understanding of computer networking, database management, data mining, high-performance computing, low-power design, and wireless communication. By pursuing this Master of Science degree, you will gain the mastery and expertise necessary to succeed in the profession. This degree program is also offered online.

The Adult Education program is designed to prepare effective adult educators who will become change agents within local and international communities. Curricular experiences emphasize the historical, philosophical, and socio-cultural foundations of adult education with a special focus on the Black Diaspora. Graduates are prepared to work as community activists, agency supervisors/directors, program planners, program facilitators/planners, community leaders/organizers, directors of professional organizations, media organizers, and many other community roles. The Adult Education program follows the professional standards devised by the Commission of Professors of Adult Education.

The goals of graduate study in the Department of Biology are to provide students with the training, guidance, experience, and opportunities to participate in research that will allow them to make the transition from being interested consumers of biological knowledge to being full, participating members of the biological profession. As such, they will be able to recognize the limits of our current biological knowledge and to use that insight to design and conduct research that addresses those limits. They will carry out research with the skill and integrity necessary to advance our level of knowledge. Graduate students have the opportunity to gain experience in scientific methods and experimental design in the laboratory and in the field. They will be able to integrate new insights from their research with existing knowledge and with advances from other biologists to generate new levels of understanding. They will also have the ability to effectively share their new insights with their colleagues, students, and others by lectures, conference presentations, in written assignments, and papers published in peer-reviewed journal publications.

The subject matter of physics, distinguished from that of chemistry and biology, includes mechanics, heat, light and other radiation, sound, electricity, magnetism, and the structure of atoms. Physicists use mathematics and numerical analysis and statistics and probability and computer software in their work. We offer a solid foundation in physics that includes course work in a diverse range of specializations covering every facet of contemporary physics research.

The Master of Science in Technology Management (MSTM) program provides graduate level education for highly motivated professionals concerned with the supervision of personnel across the technical spectrum and a wide variety of complex technological systems.
