Embedded Electronics Engineering focuses on CMOS, where billions of devices are used to build a system on a single silicon die. Using applied studies in digital IC design, analogue RF IC design and mixed-signal/data conversion IC design, the programme involves hands-on laboratory work using the most modern CAD tools and IC technologies. It includes a large project course where students start from a digital/analogue design specification and carry it through to completion. Graduates have received jobs at companies such as Ericsson, Axis Communications, Sony, ARM Sweden, Borg Warner, Xenergic and Huawei, and PhDs at Lund, Chalmers and Twente University.

As the first European Affairs programme in Sweden (established in 1994), we offer a unique combination of courses, covering topics such as European governance, EU negotiations, EU law, and Europe in global affairs. In addition to getting a theoretical understanding of these and related topics, we also enable you to bridge theory and practice by taking the opportunity to do a 10 or 20-week internship course at an organisation of your choice. In addition to being part of a dynamic and international student group, you will be taught by highly-trained teachers who are active researchers in their own fields of expertise.

This is an internet-based distance learning programme in which you learn how to analyse and model spatial phenomena, focusing on natural resources, using GIS (Geographical Information Systems) and remote sensing and environmental modelling. You can adopt the learning methods that work best for you and choose your own pace of study for any given semester. This two-year Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degree (EMJMD) programme provides an excellent opportunity for those new to tourism to engage and attain a broad grasp of the subject as well as a deep and analytical insight into aspects of tourism development, culture and related industries. This is an exciting and innovative new programme offered by the University of Glasgow, Dumfries Campus (Scotland), the University of Malta (Malta), Lund University (Sweden) and the University Institute of Lisbon (Portugal). The 21st century is the century of the photon and photonics is the science and technology of generating, controlling and detecting photons. This programme aims at educating talented students in the science and technology laying behind the photonics revolution. You will obtain an in-depth understanding of optics and laser technology as well as practical experience in optical design. Do you want to understand the inner workings of nature from a theoretical viewpoint? At the Department of Astronomy and Theoretical Physics, together with the Department of Physics in Lund, we offer a broad programme covering a wide range of topics in theoretical and mathematical physics. You can choose to study the smallest constituents of matter and their interactions within theoretical high-energy physics, as well as nuclear and solid-state physics within mathematical physics. In all cases, you will get a solid basis of theoretical knowledge needed to develop new models and to better understand how nature works.

Wireless devices have become an essential part of our daily life. This programme will prepare you for an exciting career as an expert in the field of wireless communications. Lund University has excellent resources and is ranked as #18 in the world in Electrical and Electronic Engineering for the year 2019 by the Shanghai ranking (ARWU). We are recognized for designing the first fully digital massive MIMO testbed in the world, a technology that has now found its way into 5G. The course work is demanding and features both theoretical and practical learning, plenty of group assignments and presentations, allowing students to develop supplementary skills that increase their attractiveness on the job market.

This programme is arranged in cooperation by three leading European research universities: Ghent University, Lund University and the University of Edinburgh. Together we educate students in this multidisciplinary field including subjects such as fire safety of buildings, the thermo-chemical processes associated with fire growth, human behaviour and the representation of the many uncertainties thorough fire risk assessment. Through 15 industrial partners as official sponsors and EU support, students can apply for full or partial scholarships. The Master’s programme in Environmental Studies and Sustainability Science (LUMES) equips change agents with tools for solving sustainability challenges. The programme is taught in a unique interdisciplinary and internationally excellent educational and research environment at the Lund University Centre for Sustainability Studies (LUCSUS). Since the programme started in 1997, LUMES has had over 900 students from roughly 100 countries. The programme focuses on sustainability challenges from a local to the global level by combining social and natural science perspectives. Emphasis is placed on understanding present societal development patterns and the environmental problems they create, and on formulating strategies for future sustainable pathways.
