3 Part-time Space Sciences MSc Degree Programs

This MSc in Space Science and Technology qualification looks at space science and the technology that underpins it. Developed in consultation with the UK Space Agency and the space industry, it's suitable for developing a career in the space sector. This MSc will equip you with the skills to conduct individual and team scientific investigations using space-based instrumentation.

Space Syntax MSc explores architecture and urban design through the lens of people and space. This multidisciplinary master’s degree offers specialised knowledge to those interested in the research and design of the built environment, from architectural to urban scales. It is designed for individuals aiming to pursue an academic pathway or to deepen their expertise within their current professional practice.

This is a highly multi-disciplinary degree which covers broad areas of science, engineering, and statistics, as related to space science and technology. Our MSc programme has a strong focus on Chinese Space Science. Our MSc programme is composed of 60 credits of courses. Students must enrol in 6 courses (36 credits) of “core” (compulsory) courses, offered mainly in the first semester. Students may then choose 3 “elective” courses out of a broad range of courses. In addition, students must carry out a “capstone project” by enrolling in the 6-credit course SPSC7031. Students are encouraged to approach faculty members in their areas of interest to choose a project. The final project will typically be undertaken over the course of the second semester. The curriculum of the MSc in Space Science is the same for both full-time and part-time modes of study.
