The Master in Safety Engineering will prepare you to improve and realise safety in many different areas. The programme trains you in prevention policy and safety management systems, the safety of products, processes, and installations, qualitative risk analysis techniques, and fire and explosion safety. You'll obtain detailed knowledge of technical and managerial process safety concepts with regard to the whole life cycle of a production plant, and risk evaluations based on qualitative and quantitative methods.

The Master of Science (M.Sc.) programs offered at The Budapest University of Technology and Economics (BME) are not restricted to those who received their B.Sc. diplomas in engineering at BME. The MSc in Safety Engineering for Transport, Logistics, and Production provides a high level of advanced training, to enable graduated students to operate in the areas related to safety engineering in transportation systems, logistics and industrial production, so as to realize the acquired ability to conceive, plan, design and manage complex, innovative systems and processes, with particular attention to safety aspects.

The MSc in Process Safety program will support the recently proposed advancement of safety regulations in Malaysia through the improvement of Control of Major Accident Hazard (CIMAH) 1996 regulations to embed Process Safety Management (PSM) standard by inculcating the PSM elements at all levels in the lifecycle of the plant.
