The Master of Science in GeoInformatics provides training for careers in many sectors of business, government, and academia. Hunter's focus on GeoInformatics is unique within the New York City Metropolitan area. Our training in the computational aspects of GIS includes modeling and programming, remote sensing, visualization, databases, spatial ontologies, spatial statistics, big data, complexity, as well as applied research topics such as human and animal mobility, transportation, crime and health, environmental modeling, urban environments, biogeography, disaster management, and community-based GIS.

Chemical engineering is a highly interdisciplinary field concerned with materials and processes at the heart of a broad range of technologies. Practicing chemical engineers are the experts in charge of the development and production of diverse products in traditional chemical industries as well as many emerging new technologies.

The M.S. Program in Nanoscience is ideal for students who want to enter the workforce in nanoscience as well as for students who wish to enter doctoral programs. This program offers students unique opportunities to conduct leading-edge research in the field at one of 11 CUNY campuses. Students have access to the Advanced Science Research Center at the CUNY Graduate Center (CUNY ASRC), which includes state-of-the-art laboratories, research facilities, and a 5,000-square-foot nanofabrication facility.

The M.S. in Biology is designed to prepare students for graduate or professional studies as well as for entering the job market. Students can pursue a general Masters degree or choose from one of three concentrations: molecular/cellular biology, microbiology or medical microbiology. Students choosing the general Masters degree design their course of study, with the approval of their advisor, and can vary from sustainability, ecology, systematics, environmental studies, or developmental biology.

The M.S. in Astrophysics is a 30-credit graduate program. All students take two core courses, Radiative Processes (Physics 76700) and Computational Methods (Physics 78100), plus 9 credits of elective courses in either an astronomy pathway or a physics pathway; and complete a two-part thesis course (total of 6 credits) as the culminating experience.
